Our History
Dodds & Eder began its journey over a century ago, when Mollineaux Feed & Supply Company was established in 1897, serving as a distributor of hay, grain, feed, poultry supplies, tools, and fertilizers to the sprawling Gold Coast estates of Long Island’s North Shore.
Following the sale of the business to Fred Leuenberger during the heralded Roaring Twenties, his nephew, John Dodds, came on board in 1930. Two decades later, Dodds had taken over ownership of the company, and enlisted childhood friend, Al Eder, as his partner.
Thus, Dodds & Eder was born.
